A new yacht club on Yas Island has been unveiled by architecture firm Omiros One Archiecture. The Abu Dhabi development is the firm’s first in the Middle East, and will host guests at the F1 event at Yas Island later this year.

Aldar brings Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island to ITB Berlin
Yas Island, surrounded by the azure waters of the Arabian Gulf, is the venue for the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which takes place this year on 12-14 November. Ahead of the inaugural race last November, Aldar was responsible for the delivery of the Yas Marina Circuit, 7 brand new hotels, Yas Marina and all the infrastructure and race-related facilities and a number of new entertainment destinations will open to the public in 2010.
Thrills and spills
In the second half of this year Ferrari World Abu Dhabi will open on Yas Island. Of the 20 rides at the amusement park, the most exciting will be the GT roller coaster. In a twist on the traditional roller coaster, two carriages will race along twisting parallel tracks to the finish line. Each is a replica of a Ferrari F430 Spider.
